Ants 'n' plants
Article Abstract:
Although ants may be considered pests by gardeners, many plants and species of ants have evolved a symbiotic relationship by which the insects aid plants in pollination, seed dispersal, and protection from other insects. Research reveals that ants play a vital role in seed relocation, thus preventing rodent predation and increasing the likelihood of germination. Some plants, in turn, provide ants with the structure to build their colonies.
