Appalachian treasures

Article Abstract:

The Kentucky Folk Art Center has a permanent collection of paintings, carvings, and different objects by region's most talented untrained artists. During Country Folk Art Show & Auction on 5 June 2004, visitors are allowed to talk with the artists while from June 4-6 they can enjoy the Appalachian tastes and sounds during Bluegrass 'n More.

Apple time in the Ozarks

Article Abstract:

An overview is presented of the apple-growing regions of Southern Missouri and Northwest Missouri in the United States. Some types of apples begin to ripen from mid-August and the local communities celebrate the harvest with pageants and parades.
