Article Abstract:

Arturo Alonzo Sandoval, who was born into a family of Hispanic American weavers, forces the viewer to reconsider the relationship between craft and spirituality- a radical idea, yet one that has its roots in many forms of non- European art. In his exhibition, subtitled 'Expanding Realms', the viewer first encounters five Triangular works in Sandoval's 'Meditation seriesE, made in 2001.
