Manhattan architect Judith Gerrard masterminds the renovation of the master bathroom in a Connecticut home. From a dark and outdated existing bathroom, she creates an all inclusive bathroom having a separate room for sitting and soaking with wall-to-wall water view by redesigning the dressing area, creating a bathing/sitting room and installing ceiling-high mirrors above the separate vanities.

The great divide

A project involving the design and construction of a kitchen partition cabinet is described which serves to create a sense of separateness between the kitchen and the dining/family room, as well as provide valuable storage space. The divider cabinet would accommodate a dishwasher, a regular and a steam oven, pullout bins for dog food, trash, and recyclables, and a pair of sinks.
