Bottled apples: the rewards of making your own cider

Article Abstract:

Making homemade cider is fun and assures a fresh, natural and safe supply. Each bushel of apples will produce aproximately 3 gallons of cider and insect damaged and bruised fruit can be used along with the good. Instructions for making both sweet and hard cider are included.

Article Abstract:

The loss of habitat through changed haying practices is causing a decline in bobolink populations. However some birds have returned to nesting in natural grasses wherever they can find them. Bobolink migration, courtship, mating, and raising of the young are discussed.
