Brilliant bunk beds
Article Abstract:
The transformation of a room into a likeable and livable childrens' room, which houses bunk beds allowing more accommodation and storage space beneath the beds, is presented. Freshly spring-cleaned bedding and bright colors give an inviting look while the arch above each bed avoids dangerous sharp edges and discourages the children from jumping on the mattresses.

'Rich Cut Class' was introduced by the Centennial Exposition of 1876 in Philadelphia, where the cut glass was used as a gift and presented at weddings, engagements and graduations. It is observed that glass suitable for cutting with high reflective quality must have 30-50% lead content to withstand the cuts without shattering.

Etched vs engraved glass
Article Abstract:
Even experienced antique dealers confuse etching for engraving and vice versa. Etching is the result of the corrosion of hydrofluoric acid or fumes applied to a glass surface. Engraving involves smoothing cuts of glass by a stone wheel or a carborundum man-made stone and water and polishing them.
