The advent of candles and the enhancements and development in their functionalities are described. The progress made from snuffers (trimming of the wick to for a clean burning of the candle) to extinguishers is elaborately conveyed through the years.

Irish glassware have had their own distinct characteristics from medieval times to the present day. The Ravenscroft method is used in producing crystal glasses while a blowing vessel technique is used to etch designs and names on the products.
