Tips on growing cantaloups are provided. How temperature, soil quality, rainfall and drainage effect the melon's growth is discussed. Melon diseases cannot be cured, but they can be prevented. The cucumber beetle is a pest of the plants, but still the joy of melon planting and harvesting is praised.
