Marjorie Merriweather Post's house museum in Hillwood, Washington features many Russian and European decorative art. Post's interest in Russian artworks began after she and her third husband traveled to Russia in 1937. Her house museum was opened to the public in 1977.

Chinese art: from prehistory to yesterday

Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum's exhibit "China: 5000 Years" showcases more than 500 Chinese traditional and modern works of art. The traditional art made before mid-19th century consists of works in jade, calligraphy, porcelain, among others.

Sterling and Francine Clark Art Institute in Williamstown, Massachussetts features photographic art forms, which was started by Victoria and Albert Museum in London. The institute chose 75 works from the original collection.
