Sigmund Freud concept of the unconscious is a historically remarkable achievement, but Plato's writings also suggest that human conscious is influenced by the unconscious mind. Many believe that Plato's unconscious concept was in a "closure," which is a mental prison without visible doors. Furthermore, the Western logocentrism is largely platonic in that simple figures of speech initiated by Plato have found themselves in the way English is spoken at large.
