David Eppele has earned the titles Cactus Dave and 'el jefe de las plantas' for obsession with cacti. His home garden in Bisbee, AZ includes 750 varieties of desert plant life. He does research about plant habitats and dispenses his gleaned information through a nonprofit organization. Locals are welcome to see his garden, and he had 3,000 visitors in 1994.

Splendor restored
Article Abstract:
The history of making of the Italian garden in compound of the house of Arthur Gerrish Cummer and his wife Ninah May Holden in Florida is given. This garden designed in 1931 by landscape architect Ellen Shipman have come to its former splendor after lying dormant for many decades.

Tankard, 1843-1932 was a distinguished British horticulturist who was renowned for her arrangement of plant textures and colors in landscape gardening. American gardeners became familiar with her designs through books that were published in the US after 1900.
