Spring photographs auction at Swann Galleries features daguerreotype of Frederick Douglas

The Apr 7, 1993, auction featured stereographs, tintypes and other photographs of the 19th and 20th centuries. The daguerreotype of Douglas sold for $20,900. Photographs of African-Americans, Brazilian, Cuban and Europeans were auctioned.
