Free-range chickens: a healthy sensible alternative to the old hen house
Article Abstract:
Free-range chickens can be maintained with a portable coop if they are trained to lay eggs only in the nest. A description of the portable coop and how to build one is given. The coop can be moved so that different spots get fertilized. The birds return to the coop to roost at night.

A $20 steam house
Article Abstract:
It is possible to build a winter steam house based on American Indian design. It can also be used as a greenhouse. It requires sapling sticks or fiberglass rods, plastic sheets, tape, rope and staples. Construction tips are provided.
