Garlic has been used from as early as 2000 B.C. for medicinal purposes and during the Roman times for its health benefits. Its culinary success is attributed to the unique flavor it imparts. Recipes using garlic are presented, as well as tips on garlic cookery from Louisiana chef Efrem Cutler.
