Imaginative designs can spruce up plain concrete in gardens. Square concrete slabs can be used instead. Occasionally managed gardens can have bands between the slabs filled with decorative pebbles or rocks. Well-tended gardens can have grass bands in place of colored stones for a gentler look.

Putting it all out front
Article Abstract:
Landscape architect Terry Barham incorporated the front yard to the living area of his house. The scheme made the front yard more useful to the owner. For privacy, Barham elevated the area by moving topsoil and planted tall shrubs to serve as natural curtain.
