Systematic, idiosyncratic reaching errors
Article Abstract:
A reaching experiment similar to the study done by Flanders et al is discussed. Analysis of the results showed that subjects had individual idiosyncratic error patterns in pointing and these emphasize that individual differences are significant. Flanders' model does not provide for individual variation in pointing even if it is generally correct. Also, transformations from sensory input to motor action cannot be only characterized by discrete coordinate systems.

Children of the Beats
Article Abstract:
The children of the Beat poets almost all remember dysfunctional and for some loveless, childhoods. Some carry scars such as Jan Kerouac who is on dialysis because of alcohol, and Parker Kaufman, isolated and friendless. Others have been able to build lives based on their own capacities.
