Good first effort at L&G show
Article Abstract:
The National Lawn and Garden Trade Show, in Atlantic City, NJ, during Jun 1996, attracted 3,200 nursery and hardware retailers and brought forth both positive and negative responses from attendees. The show was geared to retailers who wanted more than a regional show, however, some reported that mostly local industry members attended. Major industry trends were well represented at the show's numerous exhibits.

Chicago Botanic Garden
Article Abstract:
The Botanical Garden in Chicago contains 385 acres displaying 18 types of garden designs. The areas include the Japanese Garden, the Naturalistic Garden, the Walled English Garden and a sensory garden for the visually disabled. A prairie demonstration area recreates the natural habititat.
