In glorious blue and white: Blue Willow and Flow Blue
Article Abstract:
The transfer printing process on pottery and porcelain are discussed where the process consists of an artist deeply engraving a thin copper sheet with the desired design. The origin of the Willow Pattern and the development and use of Flow Blue as a decorative medium on chinaware are described.
