Indians gather for Kituwah

Members of about 50 North American Indian tribes gather annually in September for the American Indian National Arts Exposition, or Kituwah, to celebrate the diversities and similarities of Native American cultures. Kituwah is held at the Asheville Civic Center, NC.

The Arkansas Derby is the main event of the Racing Festival of the South, held annually at Oaklawn Park in Hot Springs, AR. Most people attend the derby not to bet on the horses, but to enjoy the sights and the facilities, especially at the exclusive Oaklawn Club.
