Into the woods
Article Abstract:
The techniques employed by architect Steven Ehrlich when designing a modernist house in the canyons of Los Angeles are analyzed, with particular attention given to his use of warm materials like textured stucco, copper and Douglas fir to soften the severe angularities of the space. A room-by-room look is given along with the biography of the architect.
