Keeping birds safe this winter
Article Abstract:
Many people have bird feeders outside their homes to provide food for birds in wintertime, but avian diseases can be spread at such places. Bacteria, fungi, parasites and pox can be passed on at feeding stations, so bird fanciers should not wait until they see a sick bird before taking precautions like cleaning the feeders and surrounding areas.
