The Mickey Mouse Club originated in 1929, with the intention of generating publicity for the Disney characters and expanded rapidly, especially gaining momentum after the launch of television. "Mouseketeers" were launched during the Mickey Mouse Club TV Shows in the 1950's, and were re-established when the programme was revived in 1977.

Everybody still loves Mickey
Article Abstract:
A brief history of Mickey Mouse describes how the cartoon character was first introduced into American culture in 1928. Very soon afterwards, the first collectibles arrived on the market. Many products have been developed since, including toys, watches and animation art, with early editions holding immense collectible value.

Dolly Dingle of Dingle Dell was a popular paper doll that regularly appeared in the 'The Pictorial Review' magazine during the early 1900s. Today, the March 1913 issue of the magazine is considered the rarest, although complete and uncut pages are almost impossible to find.
