The health option

Article Abstract:

The Forum of Private Business and the TUC has produced the 'Health and Safety Audit' so that small businesses can get guidance on health and safety legislation. Small firms have twice as many accidents as large ones. The audit has three sections and it includes basic issues such as fire certificates and first aid boxes but it also covers specialist situations such as handling dangerous substances. Employers have a duty of care towards their staff, visitors, people who use their products or services, neighbours, and anyone who uses their equipment.
