Montana hotel gains new life as efficient housing
Article Abstract:
The Acme Hotel in downtown Billings, Montana, which was added to the National Rregister of Historic places, is renovated into a 19-unit multifamily housing complex for low-income families. The hotel is renovated by the nonprofit group homeWORD, which uses innovative and sustainable methods to create housing in Montana.

A layer of low-E plastic film between glass, makes for extremely efficient windows. Manufactured by Hurd Millwork Co, the windows are priced from $400 to under $300. From the Velux-America Inc comes a new energy efficient skylight for $176. Painted directly onto the glass is a low-E coating.

Inner Harbor's hot hotel
