Our Capitol-in-a-meadow
Article Abstract:
One striking attraction at the National Arboretum is the set of 22 original columns from the east portico of the Capitol. The columns were stored after the Capitol's east front was dismantled in 1958, and transferred to the Arboretum in 1990.
