The Organic Gardening exhibit illustrating the theme of 'Moment in Time' will salute the victory garden resurgence during WWII. This resurgence gave Organic Gardening its start as a magazine. The exhibit includes a cover of World's Finest Comics with Superman, Batman and Robin working on a victory garden.

An editor of Organic Gardening magazine humorously describes the anxiety of waiting for the prize awarding at the Philadelphia Flower show. The magazine's parent, The Rodale Research Institute not only had horticultural exhibitions, but chicken, ducks and geese as well. They won two first prizes.
