Simplified seed-starting: growing your own transplants is fun - and easy

New varieties of vegetables can be grown if a gardener starts with seeds instead of the common varieties of grown seedlings that can be purchased. Seed-starting requires the planting material, peat pots or six-pack planters and natural fertilizers. Water and light are the only other requirements.
