There are several varieties of corn, and some are sweeter than others. Four levels of sweetness exist. Tips on growing very sweet corn include isolating the crop, preparing soil properly, using careful timing, watering enough, composting, and more. A list of sources is also provided.

Smother weeds with mustard
Article Abstract:
Hybrid mustard-like plants are being used effectively as 'smother plants' in experiments. These crops have a short life span, suppressing weeds, and then dying before they can compete with the corn crop. This natural weed suppressor is a hybrid of two subspecies of Brassica Rapa.
