The various popular food items of Lowcountry include pilau, which is rice combined with tomatoes, onions, herbs, and chicken, or seafood. Frogmore stew, which is also known as Lowcountry boil, is a simple one-pot dish that features shrimp and corn on the cob along with various other ingredients that depend on the cook.

Crystal carats

A rock enthusiast recounts her experience looking for diamonds in the Crater of Diamonds State Park near Murfreesboro, AR. The collector did not have any luck in finding any diamonds but went home with full hands after visiting the quartz mines between Hot Springs and Mount Ida.

Newberry rises again
