The art of editing: thoughtful replanting rejuvenates a mature garden
Article Abstract:
An older garden can be given a new look by replacing plants that did not turn out quite as expected with new ones. Gardens needing editing are usually ones that have turned out to be too bland or too busy. Editing should be ongoing and can be inspired by books or other gardens.

The hardy euphorbias

The 2,000 Euphorbia species include the annual tender spurges and perennial hardy spurges, found in all warm climates. Hardy spurges can be deciduous or evergreen and come in all sizes and growing habits. Many varieties and their color, culture, and uses are described.
