Twelve types of blue flowers that represent a cross-section of the various hues available are recommended. They include Plumbago auriculata, Phacelia campanularia, Linum narbonense, Felicia amelloides, Omphalodes cappadocica, and Delphinium Tatsienense.

Switch grass (Panicum virgatum)

Switch grass is a hardy ornamental grass that grows in sand, loam or clay. Originally found in the tallgrass prairie, its varieties include 'Heavy Metal,' 'Hanse Herms' and 'Rotstrahlbusch.'
