Frederick Maxfield Parrish, who launched his career as an illustrator was deeply affected by the intense show of nature's colors and was eager to use color in his own work, as a result, his advertising art continued to attract attention of America's most famous companies. His best-known images included calendars designed for Edison Mazda beginning in 1919.
