The right way to press flowers
Article Abstract:
Customized art can be made from seasonal flowers and leaves preserved by a flower press. Plants such as dusty miller, oregano and purple iris are some suggested. Tips are given on gathering and identifying plants, and preparing and pressing them. Pressed plants are attractively framed.

Nasturtiums in salads, rose petals for rose butter and marigold petals for saffron are some of the ways flowers can be used either to decorate or add flavor to different foods. Recipes for mock capers with nasturtiums and champagne rose petal ice cream are provided.
