Article Abstract:
Thimbles have been used by cave women, sailors and tailors for more than 2,000 years. Thimbles not only serve as protection from needle pokes but can also make it easier to ease a needle through a cloth. Thimbles can be made from plastic, aluminum, steel, silver and other semi-precious stones.
