Oriental lilies have colossal blooms that crown tall, graceful plants and prefer rich, moist, well-drained soil. Frances Parker, a gardener designer in Beaufort, South Carolina, claims that using them in between the shrubs can help support them and also camouflage the foliage after the lilies have finished blooming.
