The ups and downs of yo-yos

Yo-yos became immediately popular in the 1920s when it was introduced to the US by Pedro Flores and marketed by Donald Duncan. The yoyo has since been made using different materials and design variations. Yoyos bearing images of famous characters have become collectibles.

Elsie collectibles sell 'til cows come home

Elsie the Borden Cow was the world's most famous commercial logo in the 1940s and 1950s, and a live stand-in became a very sought-after cow, even appearing in the movies. Collectibles modeled on Elsie include coin banks, lamps, mugs, toys and dolls.
