Landscape planning should consider the needs of children and adults. The garden of a home in Greenville, SC, incorporated a play area into the backyard which is also used for entertaining. The area is visible from the house and can be redeveloped as the children grow older.

Grass can be grown in containers, such as vases or baskets, and then used as decoration inside the house. Baskets for grass growing are lined with either foil or plastic and then filled with soil, which is then sprinkled with ryegrass seeds.
