Victorian furniture has been labeled heavy and dark, but pieces can still be acquired at relatively low prices. The furniture was typically built during the late 1800s, and featured elaborate designs and a variety of styles. Mass production techniques allowed a large selection to become available.

Wemyss ware
Article Abstract:
Wemyss ware pottery from the Fife Pottery in Scotland has been admired since the factory closed in 1930, but its value has now increased. Fife was a simple pottery until Robert Heron became a partner in 1870 and injected his own artistic ideas into the work.
