Villa Gamberaia: a classic, Italian garden in the hills of Tuscany
Article Abstract:
The gardens of the Villa Gamberaia have evolved since the 16th century when the original structure was a farmhouse. The current design of the landscape was created in 1717. The influence of Italian architectural design, characteristic of Italian gardens, is examined.

The re-designing of a house garden by landscape architect Morgan Wheelock is discussed. The garden is located on the Massachusetts coast and its design is inspired by the Kyoto gardens of Japan.
