Watermelon time
Article Abstract:
Watermelon seeds can be started indoors three to last weeks before the last winter frost. They can be planted two weeks after the frost in a garden's warmest, sunniest area of soil. A ripe watermelon is one that has a yellow belly patch near the spot where the melon rests on the ground.

Crisp lettuce
Article Abstract:
Lettuce has been a part of the human diet for the last 2,500 years. There are five groups of varieties: loose-leaf, crisphead, romaine or cos, butterhead and batavian. Loose-leaf varieties are the most adaptable for various climatic conditions.
