Witch hazel

The witch hazel shrub provides year-round, lush foliage and aesthetic interest with its asymmetrically crooked branches and leaves of various sizes. The name 'witch' derives from the English word 'wych' that means flexible. An extract from the bark is used for making a medicinal astringent.
