Collecting jewelry is popular for both its financial value as well as its appeal as fine artwork. Victorian jewelry is associated with pieces which were created between 1837 and 1901. The history of jewelry craftsmanship from the 19th century to the present is examined.

Parian Ware, finely textured porcelain first made in England in 1842, quickly became a Victorian era favorite since it emulated the culture of the rich but was affordable by the masses. The history of the ware and its availability for modern collectors are discussed.

Advertising art on postcards

Free postcards with advertising art were the main advertising media in the pre-radio era. Some were done by well-known artists, and were collectors' items when they were printed. Advertising postcards are a delightful record of the history of consumer products.
