America Log sold to Verlindens

American Log Furniture Designs of Birmingham, MI, a maker and marketer of lodgepole furnitures, is now owned by the Verlinden family. The six-year-old company, formerly owned by Susan Miller, makes dining, room, bedroom, occasional and youth bedroom furnitures in lodgewood pine and has recently added ironwork furnitures to its line of products. Sarah Verlinden, American Log's new president, said that the company intends to become a national distributor as evidenced by its participation at the Chicago, IL, casual furniture show in September 1998.

Lehigh files Chapter 11: compaany up for sale
Article Abstract:
Marianna, FL-based Lehigh Furniture Div has filed for bankruptcy protection in its home state and is being put for sale by its parent company P.A. Industries Inc. The purpose of the Chapter 11 filing is to kepp creditors at bay while P.A. Industries try to sell Lehigh. Lehigh, which was acquired by P.A. Industries in Mar 1996, operates a 450,000 sq- ft factory and warehouse in Marianna.
