Jordan's knows how to wow
Article Abstract:
Jordan's Furniture attracts customers through its creative merchandising, attractive displays and a Disney-like approach in its stores. Owned by the Tatelman brothers, Jordan's succeeds by investing more on its stores, rather than on advertising, and in the end the tactic creates more traffic to its stores. The retailer posts 13 stock turns per year as compared to the average furniture store turns of 2.6 times a year. Sales per square foot in 1997 were at $890, which is over eight times the industry median.
