3M revamps to promote Scotchgard
Article Abstract:
3M has merged its flooring, automotive, and home textiles operations under the Home Furnishings and Transportation unit in an effort to improve synergy of products under the Scotchgard brand. The unit, which will market the Scotchgard brand throughout the world, will be led by sales and marketing director Jack Boyd. The decision will combine previously-autonomous marketing resources for direction into different markets. In addition, 3M has appointed Fred Zonino as sales and marketing manager for home textiles and transportation.

Carroll, Garden State Tannery merge
Article Abstract:
Carroll Leather acquired Garden State Tannery's furniture lines. The combined operations, which will run in Carroll's office in Hickory, NC, will sell products under the Carroll Leather name. Carroll Leather, which appointed Garden State's Joe Franck to the newly created position as national sales manager, will also retain Paige Harrington in his position at Garden State as head of customer service department. Meanwhile, Caroll Leather Vice President of Furniture Division Scott Watson will keep his position.
