Industry grows to $71.6B at retail in 2003, up 2.7%

The U.S. Department of Commerce reported that U.S. furniture and bedding retail sales increased to $ 7.16 billion, by 2.7% from 2002. This new estimate for the year 2003 was about $4.2 billion higher than the industry expected through October, according to earlier numbers.
