Profitsystems has appointed former chief financial officer Rick Stark as chief executive officer of its furniture store automation software development operations to replace Larry Stark. The company has promoted Stark, who occupied the chief financial officer position in 1997, to the position of co-chairman of the board. In addition, Profitsystems is scheduled to transfer to a new and bigger corporate base within a warehouse in 1999. Still, the firm will use just 15,000 square feet of the 30,000-square-foot building and lease out the remaining space.
