Pulaski to sell Craftique, close U.S. uph. operation

Pulaski Furniture Corp is planning to sell its Craftique division, shut down its upholstery operation and post a $9.2 million non-cash charge against pre-tax earnings. Pulaski pres and CEO John Wampler said the two divisions were not able to attain the company's profit goals. Craftique and the domestic upholstery division account for 5% of the firm's sales. Wampler also announced that there is an interested buyer for Craftique which they acquired in 1988.
