RTO Enterprises chain maintains lead as Canada's top RTO player
Article Abstract:
RTO Enterprises is the top rent-to-own chain in Canada, with 148 stores operating in 80 cities and nine provinces in Canada. The company is expected to exceed C$80 million in revenue in 1998, an increase of $56 million from the previous year. RTO has expanded through acquisitions that gave it several identities and is operating under banners, RTO Centres Rent To Own, Rentown, First Choice Rent To Own and North American TV and Appliance Rental. For 1998, the company intends to focus on increasing revenue of its development-stage stores and do away with those stores' operating losses.
