Sealy reassigns execs
Article Abstract:
Sealy Inc. has appointed Ron Jones as its new chairman, as well as named three other executives in higher positions, to correspond with the company's implementation of a new corporate structure for its US bedding operations. Gary Fazio and Doug Fellmy were appointed to the new positions of vice president and general manager, respectively, in Wickes' domestic bedding group, a new name for the company's US bedding business. David McIlquham was also promoted to vice president of sales and marketing from his previous job as vice president of marketing. Jones also retains his position as chief executive officer of the company.

Breuners goes with Sealy
Article Abstract:
Breuners Home Furnishings Corp. has selected Sealy as its sole national bedding vendor for the estimated 50 stores it runs in seven states. Breuners, which at present sells Sealy and Serta beddings, will replace its lineup by late summer 1998 by a line of items from Sealy, including its main Posturepedic line and the new Correct Comfort line. The stores will also offer Sealy's high-end brand Stearns & Foster. The new product line will be available at all full-line furniture stores of Breuners. A Breuners executive said they will make getting the correct sleep system a much more positive process.
